| Six function buttons are integrated into the steering wheel to facilitate operation of the radio and telephone system whilst driving. The multi-function steering wheel is also heated electrically. |
| The electronics integrated into the steering wheel are responsible for transferring the button signals on to LIN data Bus (single-wire Bus) and for dimming the function buttons. Two additional buttons for tiptronic shift functions may be fitted on vehicles with automatic gearbox. The electronics in the steering wheel cannot be replaced separately. The entire steering wheel must be replaced in the event of a defect. |
