General notes   WARNING Disconnect the battery earth cable before working on the electrical system. On vehicles fitted with telematics system, activate the service mode for the telephone/telematics control unit -J526- before disconnecting battery -A- → Chapter. When re-connecting battery -A-, always adhere to correct sequence for connecting and disconnecting battery -A- → Electrical System; Rep. Gr.27. Deactivate the service mode for telephone/telematics control unit -J526- → Chapter. Telephone systems Phone pre-installation t  Telephone transmitter and receiver unit -R36- t  Radio, telephone and navigation system aerial -R52- t  Telephone bracket -R126- with mobile telephone -R54- t  Telephone microphone -R38- The telephone transmitter and receiver unit -R36- is fitted with a Bluetooth aerial -R152-. This enables all mobile telephones -R54- approved by Audi with Bluetooth interface to be operated with mobile phone system installed in the vehicle. It is not possible to connect up other devices via Bluetooth, for example headset, laptop or PDA. Fault finding is performed via the “Guided Fault Finding” → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051. Aerial wire repairs → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.97.
