Removing and installing washer fluid reservoir

Removing washer fluid reservoir (top section) –  Detach cover (left-side) -1- in engine compartment.   Note The illustration shows a vehicle with 2.4 ltr. MPI engine.

–  Unscrew washer fluid reservoir (top section) -arrows-. –  Lift out washer fluid reservoir (top section) from washer fluid reservoir (bottom section).

Removing washer fluid reservoir (bottom section) –  Remove front wheel (left-side). –  Remove front wheel housing liner (left-side) → Rep. Gr.66. –  Unplug electrical connector -3-. –  Detach washer fluid pipe -1- at washer fluid pump. –  Unscrew bolts -2, 4, 5- of washer fluid reservoir (bottom section). –  Swivel washer fluid reservoir (bottom section) slightly to rear.

–  Unplug electrical connectors -1- and -2- at front of reservoir. –  Press release tab and pull off hose connector -3-. –  Take out washer fluid reservoir downwards.   Note The illustration shows the washer fluid reservoir from the front with the bumper removed.

Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following: –  Tighten bolts in the sequence -2, 4, 5-. –  When installing, make sure that the water hose audibly engages in the connection on the washer fluid pump. –  Install front wheel housing liner (left-side) → Rep. Gr.66. Tightening torques
