Removing
–
To renew control unit, select the “Replacement” function for the appropriate control unit in “Guided Functions” mode
→ Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051
.
–
Remove lower A-pillar trim
→ Rep. Gr.70
.
–
Remove driver's seat
→ Rep. Gr.72
.
Note
Seat belt at seat frame does not have to be unfastened.
–
Fold back floor covering.
–
Release cover for electronics box (driver's side)
-arrows-
and fold cover towards right.
–
Release retaining clips
-arrows-
and remove convenience system central control unit -J393-

from electronics box.

Unplug electrical connectors

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Install lower A-pillar trim
→ Rep. Gr.70

Install driver's seat
→ Rep. Gr.72
