Note The wiring to the warning lamp for airbag deactivated on front passenger side -K145- (“PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF” lamp) is part of the front interior light -W1- wiring harness. |

| Plug in connectors to front interior light -W1- and warning lamp for airbag deactivated on front passenger side -K145-. |

| Install front interior light -W1- with warning lamp for airbag deactivated on front passenger side -K145-. |
WARNING Make sure nobody is in the vehicle when the battery is being connected. |

| Re-code airbag control unit -J234- → Chapter. |

| Perform functional test. |

| Deactivate airbag on front passenger side with key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224-. |
| Warning lamp for airbag deactivated on front passenger side -K145- must light up constantly. |

| Activate airbag on front passenger side with key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224-. |
| Warning lamp for airbag deactivated on front passenger side -K145- must go out. |

| Interrogate and erase fault memories of all control units. To do so, use a suitable vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system, e.g. vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B-. |
