  • Hexagon nut
    • ◆ 1 Nm
  • Retaining strip
    • ◆ Bonding surface must be free from dust and grease before pressing the retaining strip on.
    • ◆ Self-adhesive, pull off the protective sheet just before assembly.
    • ‒ Warm the retaining strip before assembly with hot air gun at around 40°C +10°C.
    • ‒ Centre the front and rear retaining strip with a tubular rivet.
    • ‒ Press the retaining strip firmly onto the bonding surface completely flat, at the sill panel.
    • ‒ Rivet the retaining strip, starting from the front to back, at the sill panel.

    • ◆ 1.5 Nm
  • Cross head screw
    • ◆ 1.5 Nm
  • Rear cover
    • ◆ Remove => Fig 1.
  • Sill panel trim
    • ◆ Before assembly, remove the rear cover -7- =>Fig.1.
    • ◆ Remove front end cap -10-.
    • ‒ Unscrew the front and rear crosshead bolt -6-.
    • ‒ Release the catches -12- and pull them out.
    • ‒ Unbolt cap nuts -11-.

    • ‒ Unscrew the screws attaching the wheel housing liner in the hexagon bolts area -1-.
    • ‒ Press out the wheel housing liner to the side and unscrew the hexagon bolts -1-.
    • ‒ On the right side, you must detach additional screws attached for the activated charcoal filter.
    • ‒ Take off sill panel trim from the front of the bracket -4- and remove from the sill panel.
  • Screw lock for mount
    • ◆ Tab on mount must point to centre of vehicle.

  • Cap nut
    • ◆ 1.5 Nm
  • Screw lock
    • ◆ Notches -arrow- must show at the front in the direction of travel

  • ‒ Front wheel removed.
  • ‒ Drill the rivet head of the tubular rivet -3- and fold the shank.
  • ‒ Unscrew the front end cap screws from the wheel housing liner.
  • ‒ Press out the wheel housing liner to the side and unscrew the hexagon bolts -2-.
  • ‒ Remove the front end cap -1- on the side of the wing.

  • ‒ Drill the rivet head of the tubular rivet -2- and fold the shank.
  • ‒ Push out the pin from the split rivet and remove the split rivet from the cover.
  • ‒ You will need the pin for the split rivet again when installing.
  • ‒ Remove the cover from the bracket, upper first and then remove from the outside.
  • ‒ On further removing the sill panel trim, unscrew the crosshead screws -arrows-.
