Detaching connector for side airbag

Note:

The mechanic must electrostatically discharge him/herself before disconnecting ignition and earth wires (briefly touch closing wedge for door or body).

    • ‒ Grasp hold of connector for side airbag -1-. with one hand from rear.
    • ‒ Pull retainer tab -3- with one finger in direction of arrow (towards hand).
    • ‒ At the same time, pull connector for side airbag -1- towards the front with the other hand.

  • ‒ → With a screwdriver -1- lever out catch -2- via the locking lug -3- and unplug connector -4-.
