Fitting location:

The Tiptronic switch is integrated in the upper part of the cover -1- for the shift mechanism.

• ‒ When errors occur you must check the Tiptronic switch in the measured value block and in the electrical check for faults. Check the wiring before replacing the Tiptronic switch. On vehicles with Tiptronic sports steering wheel the buttons on the steering wheel and their wiring connections must also be checked.

Removing

• ‒ Dismantle shift mechanism cover

Notes:

Magnets -C- and -D- must be securely fixed onto the screen, if necessary replace the screen.

If magnet -D- is missing (or has fallen out) then the Tiptronic switch will not work, i.e. the screen has to be replaced. In this case the Tiptronic switch does not need to be replaced.

• ‒ The upper part of the cover -1- also needs to be replaced when replacing the Tiptronic switch.
