Removing

  • ‒ → Screw out 5 bolts -arrows-.
  • ‒ Remove air duct -1- and -2-.

  • ‒ → Clamp off coolant hoses to cooling circuit fuel cooler with hose clamps 3094.
  • ‒ Detach top coolant hose -1-.
  • ‒ Remove front bumper:

=> General Body Repairs, Exterior; Repair Group 63; Front Bumper; Removing and installing front bumper

  • ‒ Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 below engine.
  • ‒ → Disconnect -bottom-2- coolant hose from fuel cooling circuit cooler -1.
  • ‒ Unbolt fuel cooling circuit pump -3-.
  • ‒ Detach fuel cooling circuit cooler.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

  • ‒ Fit front bumper.

=> General Body Repairs, Exterior; Repair Group 63; Front Bumper; Removing and installing front bumper

  • ‒ Fill cooling system with coolant => Page 19-11.
