Removing
l  Lock carrier must be in service position → Rep. Gr.50.
–  Release fasteners -arrows- and remove noise insulation.

–  To slacken poly V-belt turn tensioner in direction of -arrow-.
–  Remove poly V-belt from alternator pulley and release tensioner.

–  Use M5x60 mm bolt to lock poly V-belt pulley for viscous fan and unscrew using hexagon key.

–  Remove V-belt pulley for coolant pump; apply drift -arrow- at power steering pump pulley.
–  Detach V-belt.
Installing
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Fit V-belt and secure the two pulley halves loosely to the coolant pump.
–  Tighten the two pulley halves in stages (continue to rotate coolant pump).
l  Whilst tightening, V-belt must move outwards as far as possible to actual resting surface.
  Note
It is not possible to adjust belt tension on coolant pump pulley.
–  Fit poly V-belt, slacken off tensioner.
–  Install viscous fan → Chapter.
–  Start engine and check that belts run properly.
–  Check tightening torque of coolant pump pulley bolts again.
