Procedure
–  Open quick-release fasteners -A- and -B- and detach noise insulation (front).
–  Remove front bumper → Rep. Gr.63.

–  Remove air hoses leading to charge air coolers on left and right side of vehicle -arrows-.

–  Remove air duct in front of charge air cooler -arrows-.

–  Remove air duct -1- leading to air cleaner.
  Note
Cover -2- does not have to be removed.
–  If fitted, detach clips for wiring harness on left of radiator cowl.

5 - Lock carrier
–  Remove bolt -2- for lock carrier and screw in front-end service sleeve -3369-.
–  Screw front-end service sleeve -3369- into bore -5-.
–  Remove bolts -1- and -3-.
–  Remove bolts -4- and pull out lock carrier as far as stop.
–  To secure lock carrier, screw suitable M6 bolts into rear bores in lock carrier -6- and bores in wing panel -7-.

Assembling
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  After installing lock carrier, check cable routing in area of radiator fan.
   
–  Allow stop for torque reaction support to rest on rubber buffer for torque reaction support and tighten bolts -arrows- to 28 Nm.
–  Install front bumper → Rep. Gr.63.
