Description of function

The electric fuel pump delivers fuel from the baffle housing in the fuel tank to the tandem pump located on the engine.

Therefore it is no longer necessary to bleed the fuel system if the tank has been run dry or after performing repairs on components of the fuel system.

The electric fuel pump also sends a pressurised stream of fuel into a suction jet pump (entrainment pump) at the bottom of the baffle housing. The suction jet pump delivers fuel from the bottom of the fuel tank to the electrical fuel pump via the baffle housing.
