Removing

• ‒ Briefly open the fuel tank filler cap (to release pressure).
• ‒ Cover the pressurised screw connection with a cloth.
• ‒ → Open the screw connection -arrow- and catch escaping fuel in a cloth.

• ‒ → Pull vacuum hose -arrow- off fuel pressure regulator.
• ‒ Unplug connectors from injectors and from Hall sender.
• ‒ Unbolt the fuel manifold from the intake manifold and pull it upwards and off the intake manifold together with the injectors.
• ‒ Withdraw the retention clamp at the injector/fuel rail connection and pull the injector out of the fuel rail.

Installing

Note:

• ◆ Fit new O-rings.(When renewing the front O-ring, make sure not to remove the plastic cap from the injector head. The O-ring must be pulled off over the plastic cap.)
• ◆ Check to make sure that the retainer clamps are properly seated.

• ‒ Moisten the O-rings with clean engine oil.
• ‒ Push injectors vertically into the fuel rail until they meet a stop and secure with retainer clamps.

• ‒ Insert fuel rail with the secured injectors on the intake manifold and press in evenly until a stop is met.
• ‒ Place fastening screws in position, press intake manifold gently by hand in the direction of the intake manifold and tighten fastening screws.

Further installation takes place in the reverse sequence to removal.
