Test requirements:

• ◆ Fuse -S32 OK - test.
• ◆ Spark plug connectors OK - test.
  (Resistance approx. 2 kω).
• ◆ Ignition cables OK - test.

Ignition coils and output stage form a joint component.

This component cannot be tested by conventional measurement media/methods.

If there is a fault in the ignition system, carry out the following test:

• ‒ Test power supply
• ‒ Test actuation of the output stage => Page 28-15.
• ‒ If neither of these tests reveals any fault and no ignition spark exists, replace power output stage together with ignition coils.
