Removal/installation of sports steering wheel is similar to airbag steering wheel.

Removing airbag steering wheel

• ‒ Move wheels to straight ahead position.
• ‒ Remove airbag unit.

=> General Body Repairs, Interior; Repair Group 69; Servicing driver's airbag

• ‒ Unscrew nut (up to MY 98) or screw out multi-point socket-head bolt (as of MY 98).

Installing airbag steering wheel

Pay particular attention to the following on installation:

Make sure wheels are facing straight ahead before fitting steering wheel.

• ‒ Fit steering wheel and tighten nut/bolt.

Tightening torques

    1)    Always replace nut

    2)    Always replace bolt
