The immobiliser control unit is secured to the dash panel carrier beneath the driver's storage compartment. Removing and installing → Chapter.
The immobiliser is monitored by the self-diagnosis function and can be checked via the self-diagnosis function of the electrical system → Electrical system, self-diagnosis; Rep. Gr.01.
Vehicles from model year 1998
The immobiliser control unit is integrated into the instrument cluster, i.e. it can only be renewed together with the instrument cluster → Chapter „Removing and installing instrument cluster“.
The immobiliser is monitored by the self-diagnosis function and can be checked via the self-diagnosis function of the electrical system → Electrical system, self-diagnosis; Rep. Gr.01.
