Removing and installing headlight range control motor
Removing and installing headlight range control motor
   
Removing
Headlight (left-side):
–  Remove cover -arrow- from power steering reservoir.
  A10-1160
Headlight (right-side):
–  Detach cover (right-side) -arrow- in engine compartment.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove air ducts -1- and -2-.

Both sides (continued):
–  Unplug electrical connector on housing cover.
–  Release retaining clip -2- and detach housing cover -1- from headlight housing.

–  Release headlight range control motor -2-: at right-side headlight by turning anti-clockwise; at left-side headlight by turning clockwise -arrow-.
–  Press ball head of actuator shaft downwards out of its mounting by tilting control motor.
–  Unplug electrical connector -1-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Start by inserting ball head of actuator shaft in mounting on reflector from below; to do so, pull reflector to rear.
–  Close housing cover and secure with retaining clip.
  Note
The headlights must always be re-adjusted if the control motors are removed and installed or renewed → Booklet802.
