The shunt resistor is attached under the right D-pillar trim (Avant Saloon only).

Removing

IMPORTANT:

If replacing the shunt resistor for rear window heating, observe the requisite measures .

• ‒ Remove the rear shelf.

=> General Body Assembly, Interior; Repair group 70; Trims; Removing and installing rear shelf

• ‒ Remove D-pillar trim.

=> General Body Assembly, Interior; Repair group 70; Trims; Removing and installing C/D-pillar trim

• ‒ → Disconnect electrical connector -1- to wiring harness.

• ‒ → Remove both self-tapping screws -1- (11 Nm).
• ‒ Remove both self-tapping screws -2- (4 Nm) and remove shunt resistor -3-.

Installing:

• ‒ Installation is carried out in reverse sequence to removal.
