Removing and installing interface for multi-function steering wheel up to model year 99

Note:

The interface is only installed in vehicles fitted with a multi-function steering wheel, radio navigation system (screen navigation) and mobile phone or telephone (permanent installation).

The interface is located behind the driver's storage compartment.

Removing

  • ‒ Remove storage compartment on driver's side

=> General Body Assembly, Interior; Repair group 68; Storage compartments, covers; Removing driver's storage compartment

  • ‒ → Detach connector from control unit -2-.
  • ‒ Unscrew both securing bolts -1- and detach control unit -2- together with bracket -4- from dash panel crossmember -3-.

Installing:

  • ‒ Installation is carried out in reverse sequence to removal.
