Removing and installing wing panel
  Note
The bolts and washers are micro-encapsulated and must be renewed after loosening or after removing the wing.
   
Up to VIN 400 000
1 - Wing panel
q   Remove bumper → Chapter.
q   Remove wheel housing liner → Chapter.
q   Remove end plate → Fig..
q   Unfasten headlight → Rep. gr.94.
q   Unplug electrical connections for side-mounted turn signal.
q   Detach side member trim in area of wing panel → Chapter.
q   Unscrew bolts -2-, → Item, → Item, → Item and -6-.
2 - Bolt with washer
q   8 Nm
3 - Bolt with washer
q   10 Nm
4 - Bolt with washer
q   10 Nm
5 - Bolt with washer
q   10 Nm
6 - Bolt with washer
q   10 Nm
7 - Bracket
8 - Bolt with washer
q   10 Nm

   
From VIN 400 001 onwards
1 - Brace for wheel housing liner
2 - Bolt with washer
q   10 Nm
3 - Wing panel brace
4 - Bolt with washer
q   10 Nm
5 - Torx bolt
q   10 Nm
6 - Bolt with washer
q   8 Nm
7 - Wheel housing liner
q   Removed
8 - Bolt with washer
q   10 Nm
9 - Wing panel
q   Remove bumper → Chapter.
q   Remove wheel housing liner → Chapter.
q   Remove end plate → Fig..
q   Unfasten headlight → Lights, bulbs, switches - exterior; Rep. gr.94.
q   Unplug electrical connections for side-mounted turn signal.
q   Remove bolts -5-, -6- and -8-. Then remove wing.

   
Removing and installing end plate
–  Front wheel removed
–  Wheel housing liner removed
–  Unscrew bolts -1- from fastener -3- and take end plate -2- out of wing panel -4-.
–  Tightening torque: 2 Nm
