| On left side, adhesive stopper strip -2- must be bonded centrally onto aerial conductor next to bus bar for rear window heating. |

| On right side, bond inner edge of strip onto outer edge of bus bar for rear window heating. |
Note Any adhesive sealant emerging at the bottom of the rear window when inserting the window into the window opening must be removed immediately. |
WARNING Glass adhesive must never come into contact with aerial conductors or bus bars for heated rear window. |

If you are reusing an undamaged window |

| When reusing an undamaged window, cut back remaining adhesive sealant on window glass and body flange until it is even using electric cutter -V.A.G 1561A- and scraper -V.A.G 1561/10-. Do not remove adhesive sealant completely. |

| The remaining sealant is required as a base for better adhesion of the new adhesive sealant. |

| Keep bonding surface clean and free from grease. |

| Do not cut back bonding surface until shortly before installation. |

| Do NOT apply primer to bonding surface and do NOT use cleaning solution. |

If installing a new window: |

| Clean window in bonding area using D 009 401 04 and apply glass/paint primer D 009 200 02. |
