| Take mirror plate out of mirror base. |

| Use wire brush to remove PUR adhesive from mirror plate. |

| Grind off three spacer protrusions on bonding surface. To do so, place sandpaper (360/400 grain) on flat surface. |

| Keep sanded surface free from dirt and grease. |
–
| Use glass scraper to remove PUR adhesive and primer from windscreen down to ceramic band. |
WARNING Take care not to damage ceramic band. Scratches will remain permanently visible. |

| Use adhesive remover -D 002 000 10- or cleaning fluid -D 009 401 04- to clean bonding surface. |

| Cut nylon mesh fabric to the exact size of the mirror base. |
Note Wear rubber gloves to protect hands. |

| Apply adhesive evenly and smoothly to base of mirror. |
–
| Position nylon mesh fabric on base of mirror. |
–
| Apply further adhesive to nylon mesh fabric by dabbing with the tube. |
The time available between placing the nylon mesh fabric on the adhesive and pressing onto the windscreen is 30 seconds. |

| Press mirror base firmly onto windscreen for 15 seconds (without applying force). |
–
| Remove excess adhesive with a cloth. |
Note Interior rear view mirror can be fitted after 15 minutes. |
