| t | Removing: |
| – | Pull radio approx. 10 mm out of the radio slot → Radio, telephone, navigation; Rep. gr.91. |
| – | Remove air conditioning system operating and display unit -E87- → Air conditioning system; Rep. gr.87. |
| – | Open ashtray (front). |
| – | Take insert out of ashtray (front). |
| – | On vehicles with manual gearbox: Prise out gearshift cover upwards and detach gear lever boot → Chapter. |
| – | On vehicles with automatic gearbox: Prise out gearshift cover upwards → Chapter. |
| – | Unscrew bolts -2- on ashtray. |
| – | Lift out ashtray (front). |
| – | Unplug electrical connector. |
| – | Disengage trim -3- from ashtray. |
| – | Unclip storage compartment trim -4-. |
| t | Installing: |
| Install in reverse order of removal. |

| q | Tightening torque: 5 Nm |
