Dismantling and assembling seat pan > < Removing and installing rear footwell light

  Note
t  The upper and lower seat pan frames of the front seat can be separated and renewed separately.
t  When removing the seat pan, take care not to damage bushes in pivot points (bolted connection between upper and lower frames). These bushes cannot be renewed with the equipment available to workshops.
1 - Bolt, self-locking
q   28 Nm
q   3x
q   Renew
q   Always clean threaded holes for bolts (using a tap for example)
2 - Upper seat pan frame
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
3 - Bush
q   Inserted in all pivot points
q   Cannot be renewed with the equipment available to workshops
q   The assembly element must be renewed if the bush is damaged; for assignment, refer to → ETKA - Electronic parts catalogue
4 - Lower seat pan frame
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
5 - Bolt
q   28 Nm
q   Renew
6 - Nut
q   Always clean threaded holes for bolts (using a tap for example)
7 - Driver seat height adjustment motor -V245- / front passenger seat height adjustment motor -V246-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
8 - Seat longitudinal adjustment motor -V288-
q   Cannot be removed and installed with the equipment available to workshops
q   Leave in position on lower seat pan frame → Item
9 - Driver seat rake adjustment motor -V243- / front passenger seat rake adjustment motor -V244-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
10 - Bolt, self-locking
q   20 Nm
q   Renew
q   Always clean threaded holes for bolts (using a tap for example)
