Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-
  W00-1273
t  Seat repair stand -VAS 6136-
t  Removing
–  Remove seat → Chapter.
–  Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
–  Attach front seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove seat side trim (sill side) → Chapter.

–  Unscrew bolts -5- (5x).
–  Detach seat adjustment switch -2-.
–  Take out printed circuit board with connectors -1-.
t  Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
t  Tightening torque for bolts -5-: 1.5 Nm
