Removing and installing four-way lumbar support motors
Removing and installing four-way lumbar support motors
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-
  W00-1273
t  Seat repair stand -VAS 6136-
  Note
On the driver's seat shown in the illustration, the motor for adjusting the height of the four-way lumbar support is on the left and the four-way lumbar support motor is on the right.

1 - Four-way lumbar support motors (2x)
t  Removing:
–  Remove seat → Chapter.
–  Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox support -VAS 6095-.
–  Attach front seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136-.
–  Remove backrest cover panel → Chapter.
–  Unplug connector.
–  Unscrew bolts or drill out rivet.
–  Disengage Bowden cable at four-way lumbar support.
–  Renew motor.
t  Installing:
Install in reverse order of removal.
2 - Seat height adjustment motor
3 - Seat rake adjustment motor
4 - Seat longitudinal adjustment motor
5 - Backrest adjustment motor
