Removing and installing seat |
Note
Before disconnecting the battery obtain radio code. |

WARNING
|
– | Move front seat -1- as far upwards and to rear as possible. |
– | Pull up and detach assembly cover -4-. |
– | Pull down belt end fitting -3- in direction of arrow and detach. |
– | Unscrew bolts -2- (2x) at front. |
– | Move seat forwards. |
– | Remove bolts -2- (2x) at rear. |
– | Disconnect the battery earth wire → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27. |
WARNING

– | Tilt front seat -1- backwards. |
– | Unplug connectors → Chapter. |
– | Connect airbag adapter → Chapter. |
– | Lift front seat -1- out of vehicle with the assistance of a second mechanic. |
t | Installing |
Install in reverse order of removal. Observe the following: |

– | Fit front seat before detaching airbag adapter -VAS 6036-. |
Note
Make sure electrical connectors are fitted correctly (as far as stop) and engage audibly. |
– | Plug in connectors at couplings of connector point in floor → Chapter. |
– | Switch on ignition. |

– | Connect battery earth wire with ignition switched on → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27. |
Note
If the airbag warning lamp -K75- indicates a fault following installation, you must interrogate, erase and then re-interrogate the event memory → Vehicle diagnostic tester. |
