| t | Removing: |
| – | Remove seat → Chapter. |
| – | Remove backrest → Chapter. |
| – | Remove head restraints → Chapter. |
| – | Remove head restraint guides: vehicles up to 10.2004 → Chapter, vehicles from 11.2004 onwards → Chapter. |
| – | Remove backrest cover panel → Chapter. |
| – | Prise out fastening strips (bottom) -3- (3x). |
| – | Disengage fastening strips on side -2- (2x). |
| – | Remove backrest frame → Chapter. |
| – | Pull out cable guide -6-. |
| – | Unfasten cable tie -4-. |
| – | Take out wiring -5- for seat heating upwards. |
| – | Remove side airbag → Chapter. |
| – | Prise out plastic tabs -7- (5x). |
| – | Remove padding with cover. |
| t | Installing: |
| Install in reverse order of removal. |
| 2 - | Fastening strips (side; 2x) |
| 3 - | Fastening strips (bottom; 3x) |
| 4 - | Cable tie |
| 5 - | Wire for seat heating |
| 6 - | Cable guide |
| 7 - | Plastic tabs (5x) |
