Removing
–
Remove dash panel
→ Chapter
.
–
Remove bolts
-1-
(2x) for fuse carrier
-2-
.
Tightening torque: 3 Nm
–
Set down fuse carrier with wires connected.
–
Disengage wiring harness at dash panel support bracket and lay it bare.
–
Remove bolts
-1-
(2x) of three-position relay carrier
-2-
.
Tightening torque: 3 Nm
–
Remove nuts
-3-
(2x) of six-position relay carrier
-4-
with onboard supply control unit.
Tightening torque: 2.4 Nm
–
Set down relay carriers with wires connected.
–
Detach wiring harness behind relay carriers from central tube and lay it bare.
–
Remove bolt
-2-
for pedal bracket.
Tightening torque: 23 Nm
–
Remove bolts
-1-
(4x).
Tightening torque: 22 Nm
–
Set down steering column in driver's footwell.
–
Remove bolts
-1-
(4x) for support (left-side).
Tightening torque: 9 Nm
–
Unscrew bolt
-2-
.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm
Note
If support is left in position, it is sufficient to merely loosen bolt
-3-
and swivel down support.
–
Loosen/remove bolt
-3-
(for securing front of support to air conditioning unit).
Tightening torque: 8 Nm
–
Detach/swivel down support.
–
Disengage air duct at air conditioning unit
-arrows 1-
and lift off duct
-arrows 2-
.
–
Remove bolts
-1-
(4x).
Tightening torque: 9 Nm
–
Lay bare wire
-2-
.
–
Detach support (right-side).
–
Remove bolts
-1-
(2x) of retainer for air conditioning unit.
Tightening torque: 11 Nm
–
Use screwdriver to prise off both caps
-3-
.
–
Slacken off hexagon nuts
-4-
by several turns.
–
Detach wiper arms
-2-
from wiper shaft by tilting slightly.
–
Completely unscrew hexagon nuts and detach wiper arms.
–
Pull off fasteners
-1-
and detach cowl panel grille
-5-
.
–
Remove cover for plenum chamber electronics box
-arrows-
.
–
Use screwdriver to carefully prise off retaining bracket
-arrow-
and move engine control unit to side with wires connected.
–
Unclip retaining bracket.
–
If applicable, move gearbox control unit to side with wires connected.
–
Remove bolts
-2-
(2x) for connector point.
Tightening torque: 3 Nm
–
Remove bolt
-1-
for dash panel central tube in plenum chamber.
Tightening torque: 6 Nm
–
Unscrew bolts (left-side)
-1-
(2x).
Tightening torque: 35 Nm
–
Remove bolt
-3-
at top. Tightening torque: 6 Nm
–
Unscrew earth wires
-2-
.
–
Remove bolt (right-side)
-2-
.
Tightening torque: 35 Nm
–
Unscrew earth wires
-1-
.
–
Pull central tube for dash panel forwards by a few millimetres.
–
Using a small screwdriver, pull out pins
-2-
(2x) upwards if possible.
–
Move clear wiring harness behind vent.
–
Lift off air duct
-arrow-
.
–
Unscrew earth wires
-1-
.
–
Press wiring harness behind dash panel central tube off dash panel central tube
-arrows-
.
To do so, use removal lever -80 - 200-.
–
Take out central tube for dash panel.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
