1 - Bolts for brake caliper
  Note
These bolts do not have to be slackened in order to remove the brake caliper or change the brake pads.
q   Tightening torque: 190 Nm.

4 - Brake caliper housing
q   If assembly work is required, do not leave caliper hanging from brake hose but secure it to bodywork with binding wire
q   With the exception of “Removing and installing brake pads”, “Removing and installing brake caliper” and “Removing and installing brake pistons”, no repairs may be performed on the brake caliper
q   Do not twist hose when installing
q  
5 - Brake pads
q  
  Note
A wire for the wear indicator is fitted to the inner pad.
q   There is an adhesive foil on the backplates of the outer brake pads. Remove the protective foil before fitting pads.
q   Before fitting pads, clean guide surfaces and apply a thin coating of polycarbamide grease → Parts catalogue

q   Always renew on both sides of axle
q   Removing and installing
q   Checking pad thickness: → Booklet4E
10 - Ribbed bolt
q   Tightening torque: 190 Nm
q   Clean ribs if using again
11 - Brake carrier
q   Bolt to wheel bearing housing
12 - Brake pistons
  WARNING
The brake pistons have different diameters. When re-installing, please make sure that each of the brake pistons is inserted in the correct aperture in the brake caliper. The ceramic inserts on the brake piston act as heat insulators and must not be separated from the brake piston. If the ceramic insert is damaged, the brake pistons must be renewed for safety reasons.
13 - Bolt for bracket
q   Tightening torque: 25 Nm
14 - Brake line connection to brake hose
q   Tightening torque: 12 Nm
q   Brake hose must not be twisted.
15 - Brake line
q   Screw into brake caliper housing
q   Screw into brake hose, counter hold on brake hose hexagon.
q   Do not twist hose when fitting
q   Ensure that lugs are properly seated in grooves in bracket.
16 - Bracket for brake line
q   Bolt to brake caliper housing
q   Attach brake line
17 - Brake line connection to brake caliper
q   Tightening torque: 19 Nm
18 - Bolt for guide pin
q   Tightening torque: 30 Nm
