Basic setting (performing short test)
Basic setting (performing short test)
–  Press → key until the following is indicated on the display:
   
Indicated on display (function selection):
–  Press keys 0 and 4 for “Basic setting” and confirm the entry with the Q key.
  
Vehicle system - test               HELP
Select function XX
Indicated on display (function selection):
–  Press keys 0, 0 and 8 for “Perform short test UP 28” and confirm the entry with the Q key.
  
Basic setting                        
Enter display group number XXX
Indicated on display (function selection):
–  Press 4
–  Firmly depress the brake pedal several times in succession (venting the brake servo) until the test is activated.
  
System in basic setting 8 off (4 on) ->
not oper. Pump off XXX mbar test off
Indicated on display (function selection):
–  The brake pedal must not be pressed once the test has been activated, as the pump is switched off when the brake pedal is actuated.
The pump evacuates the brake servo. The diagnosis of the brake servo system runs in parallel in the control unit. The system passes the test if the pressure in the brake servo reaches the shut-off threshold within the time limit set by the diagnostic function (max. 20 sec).

–  Press 8
–  Remove diagnosis lead from diagnostic connection.
or:
  
System in basic setting 8 on (8 off) ->
not oper. Pump off XXX mbar system OK
Indicated on display (function selection):
If the test shows the system is not OK, read out the fault memory and rectify the fault (ignition must be switched off!).
–  Afterwards perform the short test again.
