–  Trace and repair open circuit or short circuit → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.

–  Perform final control diagnosis in engine control unit to determine whether vacuum pump is running or is being activated.
–  Check hoses leading to pump and those leading from pump to brake servo unit.
–  Perform short test of engine control unit (Basic setting; Display group 8; ignition switched on and selector lever in position “P” or “N”).
