Removing and installing combustion air blowerV6
Removing and installing combustion air blower -V6-
  Note
t  As of 02.04 auxiliary heaters have been fitted on which the bolt of the atomiser unit is bonded into the shaft of the combustion air blower -V6-. It may then no longer be possible to slacken off this bolt. Replacement combustion air blowers -V6- are therefore supplied pre-assembled with the appropriate components for the “diesel ” or “petrol” version → Parts List.
t  Up to 01.04, combustion air blowers -V6- were installed on which - particularly in the case of horizontally installed auxiliary heaters - residual fuel could penetrate into the motor by way of the shaft (thus impeding operation, resulting in insufficient combustion air being conveyed into the combustion chamber in auxiliary heating mode and causing the auxiliary heater to give off smoke). As of 01.04, combustion air blowers -V6- have been installed with a modified seal at the shaft.
