Circulation pump -V55- and corresponding connections to auxiliary heater control unit -J364-
–  ∞ Ω (infinity ohms)
–  Use current flow diagram to locate and eliminate short to earth.
–  Replace circulation pump -V55- → Chapter and → Chapter

  Note
t  Internal resistance of circulation pump -V55- = 9 Ω+/-4 Ω
t  Resistances of less than 20 Ω can no longer be measured with the required accuracy using workshop equipment. The internal resistance test can therefore only be used to detect major component or wiring damage.
t  Supplying the circulation pump -V55- with a voltage of 12 V produces a current flow of between 0.4 and max. 1.0 A (amps).
t  At present, the circulation pump -V55- is not regulated by the auxiliary heater control unit -J364- but rather only switched on or off. At a later date, it is planned to install auxiliary heater control units -J364- which will regulate the delivery of the circulation pump -V55- as a function of the coolant temperature in the auxiliary heater (introduction not yet finalised).
t  To assist the engine coolant pump, the circulation pump -V55- can also be activated with the auxiliary heater switched off → Chapter.
