5.1Contact “9” and contact “7”Temperature sensor -G18- and corresponding connections to auxiliary heater control unit -J364- 
–  Governed by temperature of coolant in auxiliary heater, less than 40 kΩ and greater than 0.34 kΩ (kilo-ohms)
–  Use current flow diagram to check and repair connection to temperature sensor -G18-
–  Replace temperature sensor -G18- → Chapter
5.2Contact “9” and contact “10”Temperature sensor -G18- and corresponding connections to auxiliary heater control unit -J364- 
–  ∞ Ω (infinity ohms)
–  Use current flow diagram to locate and eliminate short to earth.
–  Replace temperature sensor -G18- → Chapter

  Note
t  The resistance of the temperature sensor -G18- is governed by the temperature of the coolant in the auxiliary heater. At 25 °C it is approx. 10 kΩ (at -40 °C approx. 330 kΩ, at 0 °C approx. 32 kΩ, at 80 °C approx. 1.3 kΩ and at 125 °C approx. 0.35 kΩ).
t  The temperature sensor -G18- is installed in the auxiliary heater housing and is surrounded by coolant → Chapter.
