Note t
In auxiliary heating/auxiliary ventilation mode, the operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255- decides on the basis of the specified temperatures set and the actual temperatures measured whether the auxiliary heater is to be started up or the air conditioner is to be activated in auxiliary ventilation mode. On vehicles with heater (no air conditioner), the auxiliary heater is always started up at present (no decision has to be taken by the operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255-).
t
After pressing the remote control buttons, the display does not switch immediately from “Activated” to “On” or “Off” but rather there is a brief delay after signal reception.
t
If a fault not permitting activation of auxiliary heating/auxiliary ventilation is or was stored in the auxiliary heater control unit -J364-, “Disabled” is displayed. Depending on the fault, it may be necessary to briefly start the engine after erasing the fault memory (“Terminal 15” on is transmitted via the convenience data bus system) in order to effect release (for the auxiliary heating radio controlled receiver -R64- as well). It is also not possible to adapt a new remote control as long as “Disabled” is being displayed.
t
The no-load current input of an active remote control receiver (not set to power saving mode) is in the less than 3 mA range (the current input increases as soon as a transmission signal is received).
