Removing and installing tiptronic switchF189
Removing and installing tiptronic switch -F189-
  Note
t  The tiptronic switch -F189- is integrated in the printed circuit. The printed circuit is clipped in underneath the selector mechanism cover.
t  It comprises 3 Hall sensors actuated by 2 magnets on the transverse slide of the sliding cover.
t  In order to renew the tiptronic switch, the printed circuit must be renewed.
t  Also check that magnets are properly secured on transverse slide of sliding cover, renew sliding cover with guide if necessary.
Removing
–  Remove selector mechanism cover → Chapter.
   
–  Press the 4 locking hooks -arrows- inwards and pull the cover -2- off the guide -1-.

–  Check that the two magnets on the transverse slide of the sliding cover are securely seated -arrows-.

–  Unclip printed circuit -1- with integrated tiptronic switch -F189- from cover -2-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Clip printed circuit -1- with integrated tiptronic switch -F189- into cover -2-.
–  Install selector mechanism cover → Chapter.
–  Install selector lever handle → Chapter.
