Removing

Drain off coolant
→ Chapter

Remove front bumper cover
→ General body repairs, exterior; Rep. Gr.63

Move lock carrier into its service position
→ General body repairs, exterior; Rep. Gr.50
.

Remove toothed belt from camshaft sprocket:

Note
Before removing coolant pump, cover toothed belt with a cloth to protect against coolant.

Unscrew bolts

for coolant pump and remove coolant pump

Remove O-ring

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
Note
Renew O-ring.

Clean and smoothen sealing surface for O-ring as required.

Lubricate new O-ring

with coolant additive
“G12+”

Fit coolant pump

Installation position: Sealing plug in housing faces downwards.

Tighten bolts

for coolant pump.

Fit toothed belt:

Install poly V-belt
→ Chapter

Install lock carrier with attachments

Install front bumper cover

Fill cooling system
→ Anchor
.
