Removing
l  Engine removed
–  Remove sump and balance shaft assembly → Chapter.
–  Remove sealing flange (front) → Chapter.
–  Pull drive chain sprocket for oil pump off crankshaft with a puller -2- (normal commercial type); use thrust plate -40-105--item 1- to protect end of crankshaft.
Installing
  WARNING
Wear protective gloves.
–  Heat drive chain sprocket in oven for approx. 15 minutes to 220°C.

–  Using pliers, locate drive chain sprocket on end of crankshaft.
l  Installation position: wider collar on drive chain sprocket faces engine.
–  Push drive chain sprocket onto crankshaft as far as the stop using drift sleeve -30-100-.
Remaining installation steps are carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Install sealing flange (front) → Chapter.
–  Install sump and balance shaft assembly → Chapter.
