1 - Toothed belt cover (top)
q   Engage carefully in centre toothed belt cover when installing
2 - Toothed belt
q   Check for wear
q   Before removing, mark direction of rotation with chalk or felt-tipped pen. If the belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage
q   Removing → Chapter
q   Installing (adjusting valve timing) → Anchor
3 - 20 Nm + turn 45° further
4 - Tensioning roller
5 - 100 Nm
q   Use counterhold tool -T10051- when loosening and tightening → Chapter „Removing and installing camshaft“
6 - 25 Nm
7 - Camshaft sprocket
q   Mark installation position
8 - Hub
q   With sender wheel for Hall sender -G40-
q   To remove, use puller -T10052- → Chapter „Removing and installing camshaft“
9 - 10 Nm
q   Apply locking fluid when installing; refer to → Electronic parts catalogue
10 - Toothed belt cover (rear)
11 - Rubber grommet
q   Renew if damaged
12 - Tensioner for toothed belt
13 - Idler roller
14 - Coolant pump
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
15 - Crankshaft sprocket
q   Contact surface between sprocket and crankshaft must be free of oil
q   Can only be installed in one position
16 - 120 Nm + turn 90° further
q   Renew
q   Do not lubricate with oil
q   Use counterhold tool -3415- when loosening and tightening → Chapter „Renewing crankshaft oil seal (pulley end)“
17 - 15 Nm
18 - 20 Nm
19 - Toothed belt cover (bottom)
20 - Vibration damper
q   With pulley for poly V-belt
q   Can only be installed in one position. Holes are off-set
21 - 10 Nm + turn 90° further
q   Renew
22 - Cover cap
23 - Toothed belt cover (centre)
q   To remove, take out top toothed belt cover and unbolt poly V-belt tensioner
