Removing and installing chain sprocket

t  Fitting sleeve -30-100-
t  Two-arm puller, commercially available

Removing
–  Remove top section of sump → Chapter.
–  Remove sealing flange (front) → Chapter.
–  Remove chain tensioner and chain.
–  Pull chain sprocket off crankshaft with a two-arm puller -2-; use a suitable washer -1- to protect crankshaft journal.

Installing
  WARNING
Wear protective gloves.
–  Heat chain sprocket in an oven for approx. 15 minutes to 220 °C.
–  Fit chain sprocket on crankshaft journal using pliers, and press onto crankshaft as far as the stop using fitting sleeve -30-100-.
