t  Fitting tool -T10122-

t  Oil seal extractor lever -T20143/2-
Procedure
l  Gearbox removed.
–  Vehicles with manual gearbox: remove clutch pressure plate → Rep. Gr.30 and dual-mass flywheel → Chapter.
–  Vehicles with multitronic gearbox: Remove damper unit → Chapter and flywheel → Chapter.
–  Vehicles with automatic gearbox: remove drive plate → Chapter.

–  Pry out oil seal using oil seal extractor lever -T20143/2-.
–  Clean running surface and sealing surface.

–  Fit assembly aid -T10122/1- onto assembly sleeve -T10122/2- and slide oil seal -A- onto assembly sleeve.
–  Take off assembly aid -T10122/1-.
  N13-0782
–  Fit the assembly sleeve -T10122/2- with oil seal -1- onto crankshaft.
  A13-0625
–  Press in oil seal uniformly until flush all round using press sleeve -T10122/3-.
Perform further installation in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Vehicles with manual gearbox: Install dual-mass flywheel → Chapter and pressure plate → Rep. Gr.30.
–  Vehicles with multitronic gearbox: Install flywheel → Chapter and damper unit → Chapter.
–  Vehicles with automatic gearbox: install drive plate → Chapter.
