Removing and installing combination valve for secondary air system (left-side) Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Hose clamps for hoses up to 25 mm Ø -3094-

Removing –  Pull off engine cover panel (rear) -arrows-.

–  Unbolt retaining plate -3- for solenoid valves -arrows-. –  Detach air intake hose -1- at air mass meter -G70-. –  Disconnect crankcase breather hose -4- at air duct -2-.

–  Unscrew bolt -arrow- and pull air duct -2- off throttle valve module -J338-. –  If fitted, disconnect hose -1- from air duct.   Note Shown from rear with engine removed for illustration purposes.

–  Remove cover -1- on left side of engine compartment.

–  Clamp off coolant hose -2- using hose clamps -3094- and disconnect coolant hose from coolant expansion tank. –  Unplug electrical connector for coolant shortage indicator switch -F66- at bottom of coolant expansion tank.   Note Coolant hoses -1- and -3- remain connected.

–  Unplug electrical connector at Hall sender 2 -G163--item 1- and at Hall sender 4 -G301--item 2-. –  Disconnect crankcase breather hose from cylinder head cover.

–  Unscrew bolts -1- on flange of combination valve for secondary air system. –  Slacken nut -3- a few turns. –  Unscrew bolts -2- and detach vacuum hose -arrow-. –  Detach combination valve for secondary air system.   Note Shown in illustration with engine removed. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:   Note Renew gaskets and seals. –  Fill cooling system → Anchor. Tightening torques
