Removing and installing combination valve for secondary air system (right-side)

Removing

–	Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.

–	Remove cover -1- at right of engine compartment.

–	Unscrew bolts -arrows- of retaining plate -3- for solenoid valves.

–	Unplug electrical connector -2- at intake air temperature sender -G42-.

–	Remove bolt -arrow- and pull air duct -2- off throttle valve module.

–	Pull hose -1- off air duct.

Note

Illustration shows air duct from rear with engine removed.

–	Detach vacuum hose -3-.

–	Remove bolts -2-.

–	Unscrew bolts -1- and remove combination valve.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew seals and gaskets.

Tightening torques

Combination valve to cylinder head	10
Connecting pipe to combination valve	10
Air duct to throttle valve housing	10
