Allocation of conrods (width of conrod base) to crankshaft
t  Conrods of the correct width are matched to the crankshaft at the factory. Code letters indicating the width of the conrod base are stamped on the thinner side of the conrod base.
t  The allocation of the conrods to the crankshaft is indicated by letters on the front crankshaft web for each conrod position, as shown in the illustration.
  Note
The numbers below the row of letters indicate the positions of the conrod journals from front to rear.

Allocation of conrod bearing shell thickness to crankshaft
t  Conrod bearing shells of the correct thickness are matched to the crankshaft at the factory. Coloured dots on the side of the bearing shells are used to identify the bearing shell thickness.
t  The allocation of the bearing shells to the crankshaft is indicated by letters on the front crankshaft web for each bearing shell position, as shown in the illustration.
