t  Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B-
Test sequence
–  Run engine briefly to ensure the vacuum necessary for testing is present in vacuum reservoir.
–  Switch off engine and connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B-.
–  Switch on ignition.
–  Press Vehicle self-diagnosis key, select vehicle system “01 - Engine electronics” system and press → key to activate function.

Display on -VAS 5051B-:
–  From menu -1-, select function “005 - Final control diagnosis” and press → key to activate function.
–  Press the → button repeatedly until the exhaust flap 1 valve -N321- is activated.

l  The operating rod -arrow- for exhaust flap should move back and forth at both rear silencers.
If the operating rod does not move:
–  Check vacuum unit of exhaust flap → Chapter.
–  Check vacuum pipe going to vacuum reservoir and to exhaust flap 1 valve -N321- below side trim of luggage compartment (left-side).
–  Check exhaust flap 1 valve -N321- in “Guided Fault Finding” mode.
–  Press the ← key to exit from function “003 - Final control diagnosis”.
–  Press “022 - End output”.
–  Switch off ignition.
