Removing and installing glow plugs > < Checking operation

Checking glow plugs
Checking glow plugs
l  Battery voltage at least 11.5 Volt
–  Switch off ignition.
–  Detach glow plug connectors from glow plugs.
–  Connect diode test lamp -V.A.G 1527- to battery (+) and check all glow plugs one after the other.
If diode lights up: glow plug is OK.
If diode does not light up: renew glow plug → Chapter.
