Grease quantity and type
Constant velocity joints are packed with grease G 000 603:

Regrease joint when renewing boot.
   
1 - Bolt
q   Always renew if removed
q   Loosening → Anchor
q   Tightening → Anchor
q   Tightening torque → Anchor
2 - Outer constant velocity joint
q   Renew only as complete unit
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
q   Greasing → Anchor
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Grease splines on drive shaft lightly with grease used in joint when fitting joint onto drive shaft
3 - Circlip
q   Always renew
q   Fit into annular groove on shaft before installing (no longer visible once joint is installed)
4 - Hose clip
q   Always renew
5 - Boot for outer constant velocity joint
q   Check for splits and chafing, renew if necessary
q   Check outer constant velocity joint if boot is damaged → Chapter
q   Briefly lift boot to equalise pressure before tightening hose clip.
q   Sealing surfaces must be free of grease when assembling.
6 - Drive shaft
q   For correct version refer to → Parts catalogue
7 - Cover
q   Always renew
8 - Gasket
q   Always renew
9 - Circlip
q   Always renew
q   For correct version refer to → Parts catalogue
q   Insert in groove on shaft
10 - Inner constant velocity joint
q   Outside diameter: 100 mm
q   Renew only as complete unit
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
q   Greasing → Anchor
q   Adhesive surfaces must be free of oil and grease
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Grease splines on drive shaft lightly with grease used in joint when fitting joint onto drive shaft
11 - Lock plate
12 - Multi-point socket head bolt
q   Tightening torques → Item
q   For correct version refer to → Parts catalogue
13 - CV joint boot with cap
q   Check inner constant velocity joint if boot is damaged → Chapter
q   Check for splits and chafing
q   Renew only as complete unit
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
q   Sealing surfaces (boot/drive shaft and boot/cap) must be free from grease when assembling
