Preparations for measurement

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Wheel alignment computer -V.A.G 1813-

t	Brake pedal actuator -V.A.G 1869/2-

t	Steering centring bolt -VAS 6224-

t	Gap setting gauge -V.A.G 1925-

Wheel runout compensation

The existing lateral runout of the wheel rims must be compensated accordingly. Otherwise false results will be obtained.

The toe-in cannot be set correctly without performing wheel runout compensation.

–	Carry out wheel rim runout compensation. Please observe the operating instructions provided by the manufacturer of the wheel alignment unit.

–	Set up brake pedal actuator -V.A.G 1869/2-.
