Removing and installing radio, telephone and navigation system aerialR52 (Saloon)

Removing and installing radio, telephone and navigation system aerial -R52- (Saloon)

The aerial wires are fitted on the D-pillars (left and right).

–	Switch off all electrical equipment.

–	Remove ignition key.

Removing

–	Remove roof end trim → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.

–	Remove D-pillar trim (left and right) → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.

–	Remove rear interior light -W43- → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.96.

–	Lower moulded headlining (rear) → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.

–	Unplug connector for aerial wire -arrow- at D-pillar (right-side).

–	Unplug connector for aerial wires -arrow- at D-pillar (left-side).

–	Detach aerial wires up to radio, telephone and navigation system aerial -R52-.

–	Unscrew nut -arrow- (6 Nm).

–	Lift off radio, telephone and navigation system aerial -R52- from roof.

Installing

–	Installation is performed in reverse sequence.

The washer for the nut of the radio, telephone and navigation system aerial -R52- has a recess in it through which the aerial wires must be guided.
